Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story & StarWars.com Up For Webby Awards

Last year, Disney released a animated short based on two Create Your Own Vinylmations, called Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story and the animated short has been nominated for best Online video, along with many other Disney websites including StarWars.com and Disney.com.

Yesterday the 19th Annual Webby Awards announced their nominees, and we’re excited to share that Disney Interactive was recognized with multiple Nominee and Honoree selections! StarWars.com is nominated for best Celebrity/Fan Website and Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story in competing in the Animated Online Video category, while Disney.com and Disney Social were chosen as honorees in the Youth Website and Social: Entertainment categories, respectively. With nearly 13,000 entries submitted to the Webbys this year, these honors are a huge accomplishment for Disney Interactive and all the teams who worked tirelessly to develop, build and maintain these great sites and content! 

As nominees, StarWars.com and Blank are up for a traditional Webby Award as well as a Webby People’s Voice Award, which is determined by public votes. Help support Disney Interactive by voting in this year’s Webby People’s Voice Awards and encouraging your friends and followers to vote as well! Just to note, you can only vote once in each category and polls close April 23.
