DisKingdom at New York Comic Con 2015

I am happy to announce that I will be attending New York Comic Con 2015 representing DisKingdom.com, as well as our sister sites PopVinyls.com and VinylmationKingdom.com. I have been going to New York Comic Con since it came to the Jacob K. Javits Center in NYC in 2006, making this the 10th incarnation of what’s now one of the largest pop-culture conventions in the United States (attendance in 2014 topped 150,000). This will be my fourth year being there as Press, and I am excited for this year in particular. Why? Funko.

That’s right, for the first time EVER, Funko will be there as an exhibitor. In past years, there have been Funko exclusives, but they were always being sold by other exhibitors like Toy Tokyo, Fugitive Toys, and Convention Exclusives. No word on if they will have exclusives as well (I am sure a few will), but Funko has stated they will be there with about 25-30 collectibles themselves. They will also have a very expansive space, and will make their presence known. Could we see a special event like San Diego Comic Con has with their Fun Days? No word yet, but I am remaining hopeful.

Also on hand are other amazing companies and businesses sporting exclusives, new products, and sneak peaks at exciting stuff coming out for the holidays and into the next year. Marvel, DC, Titan, Diamond Select, Mezco, Hallmark, Lego, Mattel, and more will be there. In addition, TV shows and movies will be there with special guests in tow, showcasing to their fans what’s coming in their favorite fandoms. The Autograph Hall itself is as big as the Main Hall of the convention was back in 2006, there is an amazing Artist’s Alley area where you can meet and discover some of the great artists in the industry today, and cosplay abound. It’s a crazy, crazy four days… but so much fun.
