The Punisher Joins Daredevil Season 2

Marvel have announced that the Punisher will be joining season 2 of Daredevil, and it will be played by Jon Bernthal, who has recently appeared in the Walking Dead. Season 1 of Daredevil has been a massive success and personally, has been one of the most interesting comic book TV shows in a while, and including the Punisher into the next season will be a great addition.

The Punisher has been featured in a number of movies in the past, but this version of the Punisher should fit very well into the dark and gritty Daredevil show. The Punisher should make a great opponent for Daredevil and would allow for further expansion into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Marvel.com, “Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”
