Disney Infinity 3.0 Live Twitch Toy Box TV Show #6 Recap

Todays “Disney Infinity Toy Box TV live on Twitch,” brought us some cool new information regarding Rebels joining the game, as well as some special guests on the show! Heres today’s recap of the stream…

  • JV met with other producers from future Disney Animation Studios releases. Hmmm….I smell Zootopia figures! lol!
  • JV got to go to the Hollywood Premier of the movie Inside Out. Took selfies with Amy Poehler and Lewis Black.
  • We learned that Tony Hawk’s kid plays Disney Infinity.
  • Scott Sleslinger explained the details with the E3 preparations and the booth build.
  • Email confirmations for all the E3 invites will go out later today.
  • They started working on this years E3 booth since October of last year.
  • There will be 20ft high playset themed walls at the booth.
  • Fans can experience the game first hand at E3 or at Star Wars weekends in Walt Disney World.
  • There will be a behind the scenes section at E3 where you see all the great concept art and prototype sculpts of Disney Infinty.
  • There will be a section with all the amazing fan made art and in game picture stills from toy box builder’s toy boxes at E3. This includes Evilos’ new custom.
  • There will be an interactive virtual reality section where you interact with characters from the game and you get a little video or picture to take with you including a figure.
  • Nine different figures will be given out at E3.
  • Tuesday at 5PM, there will be a fan meet up at the booth.

  • Evilos showed his custom figures and talk about his process with each one.
  • Ryan Rothesburger and Jason Moffit both came on to play a little Star Wars with the new Rebels figures.
  • Sabine was the most complicated build and paint profile of all the figures. She is very detailed and honestly, a very gorgeous figure!
  • John Blackburn came on to talk on the show.
  • He shared that Kanan is his favorite Star Wars Rebels character.
  • Ezra looks like Aladdin in Star Wars. Lol!
  • Zeb was also very tough to design because of his feet. They didn’t want him to droop over because of his stance and size.

  • Parry will not only be helpful in the Playsets with enemies, but it will allow for great dueling in the toy box.
  • Jeff Bunker is currently in China…must be inspecting our new figures?
  • Evilos unveiled his JV custom. Very cool! Its JV before his E3 haircut.
  • JV showed us a DI blanket sent to him from James at the Disney Infinity Museum.
  • Allison shared this awesome kid fan mail send in 2013 about Star Wars suggestions. This kid totally called it! JV read it and it was very cool!
  • Allison gave us an address where we can send all our fan mail!

  • There use to be the scene where Han gets frozen in carbonite but apparently Lucas Film made them remove it.
  • This time, some characters will have skills exclusive to the toy box that won’t be useable inside playsets. Example, Zeb can wall crawl in the Toy Box, but not in the playsets.

 

JV also said some very interesting quotes that left us all with our ears perked up! What can they all mean? Hmmm…..well, you be the judge. Here are a few below…

  1. “We’ve announced 4 Star Wars Rebels figures so far, and as we like to do at Disney Infinity, we are always looking at adding more characters. So if you are big fans of characters like Hera, or the Inquisitor, or Chopper, theres certainly a chance that you will be seeing those characters soon, but thats all we have to announce, these 4 characters.”
  2. “…these 4 characters as our launch characters for Star Wars Rebels…”
  3. “…I really like the Inquisitor…” (hint?)
  4. (while reading the kids fan mail) “…Luke Skywalker vs. Anakin Skywalker, or General Grievous vs. Emperor Palpatine ‘ALL which by the way, can be done, right NOW, in the toy box.'”
  5. “…a little gameplay of our FIRST 4 Star Wars Rebels figures announced so far!”

 

And finally, something I noticed during the stream…there were these raised round discs on the table next to Allison where the new Rebels figures were placed. Could this be the new look of the expansion games? Guess we’ll know next week at E3!
