Funko Review: Inside Out Mystery Minis (Hot Topic Assortment)

As some of you might know, I am a big Disney fanatic. When it comes to geeking out, that is “my jam”. So, it should not surprise any of you that I am quite excited for the new Disney/ Pixar movie Inside Out to be coming out next week. So, when I was at a local Hot Topic last night and they were just putting out a case of the new Inside Out Mystery Minis, I just had to get a case. Given that the case of 12 meant I would be getting an entire Hot Topic assortment, I didn’t have to worry about bloxing them (instead just having to worry about the three non- Hot Topic ones). With that being said, let’s take a look at the awesomeness of this set.

The new “Fab 5”?

Overall, I love the look and design of this set. The Hot Topic exclusive Joy in her wagon is probably my most favorite Mystery Mini to date, and I love how they paid respect to two secondary characters like the guards with exclusives. Now, I still need to track down the remaining three Mystery Minis in this collection (which only appear in non- Hot Topic cases: no flame Anger, crossed arms Disgust, and crying Bing Bong, which can be seen in this image:

Between the Mystery Minis, Pop! Vinyls, and Fabrikations, I feel that Funko has hit a big home run as far as Inside Out merchandise is concerned. I am excited for the release of some exclusives, including Glitter Hair Sadness at SDCC and Clear Bing Bong coming to Hot Topic. Looking forward to see what else is in store for this line.
