Disney Infinity 3.0 Toy Box TV Live Recap
This weeks Toy Box TV Live was a bumper E3 edition where the Disney Infinity team talked in depth about their week at E3 plus played through some of the Rise Of The Empire & Inside Out playsets plus some time within the Toy Box Hub.
Here are some of the highlights:
- John Vignocchi and Allison talked about this weeks E3 event including the Playstation key note speech.
- JV confirmed details from the Saga Starter Pack which he said Boba Fett will be released as a single release in January, and Rise Of The Empire will be out a month after the Saga Starter Pack is released.
- Retailers are also offering the Toy Box Villains Takeover as a pre-order bonus.
- Disney approached Microsoft and Nintendo, but didn’t have the slots available.
- Allison talks about the Inside Out event which took place earlier this week.
- Other members of the team including Matthew Solie, Tyler, Brit, Scott, Geoffry and Sean talk about their experiences at E3.
- We got to see more gameplay from the Star Wars: Rise Of The Empire playset including discussion about the spline toy.
- Boba Fett can’t fly in the playsets, but can within the toy box. Within the playsets he has a booster pack like Buzz Lightyear in 1.0
- Vader doesn’t run, but this could change.
- Lucasfilm said the lightsaber combat is the best ever seen in a video game.
- There is a combat trainer option.
- We got to see Hoth and Endor areas within the playset including Rebels Sabine.
- More Inside Out gameplay was shown with all 5 emotions.
- The Toy Box hub was shown, including some gameplay of Mickey, Minnie and Mulan within the tutorials and in the farming area.
- Jameson Wong confirmed the following Retailer Timed Exclusives

- Walmart Kanan
- Gamestop Zeb
- Toys R Us Ezra
- Amazon Fear
- Some fan mail was read out some lovely stories from some fans that got the Disney Infinity team and viewers (including myself), to become emotional.

One minor revision on the recap above. It reads as though the the rise of the rebellion will come out a month after Boba Fett, but it means it will come out a month after the starter pack is released. Great recap though. Thanks for doing this.

I was a little surprised that the only new figure announced at E3 was Boba Fett. Any hints from E3 or Toy Box TV Live when we might hear about more Marvel or Disney Original figures?? Thanks for the awesome site 🙂
They announced a lot before E3 as with so many games out at once, the news sites get flooded with reports so news gets buried. So that’s why they pushed out so much info in the weeks before it and E3 was a time to let people catch up with all that info such as Rise, Twilight, Inside Out, Speedway, Takeover, Rebels etc…
