Disney Quest To Be Replaced By NBA Experience

According to many reports, Walt Disney World’s Indoor Interactive Theme Park, Disney Quest is set to close in 2016 and to be replaced by the NBA Experience.  Disney Quest is located in Downtown Disney and features 5 stories of technology based fun, but as it was originally opened in 1998 and it hasn’t aged well.

Technology has moved very quickly and many of the attractions such as the Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride and Virtual Jungle Cruise look worse than a game that could be found on your smartphone.

The NBA Experience will feature NBA video productions and numerous interactive experiences, as well as a restaurant and a retail store.

DisneyQuest was originally planned to be a worldwide chain of attractions, with Disney closing their Chicago branch shortly after opening, and cancelling their other planned projects.

Having visited DisneyQuest in the past, it hasn’t dated very well and it needed a major upgrade to become relevant and it would very quickly become outdated again.
