Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Coming To PS4 In 2016

Square Enix have announced at a Sony Pre-Tokyo Game Show that Kingdom Hearts 2.8 will be coming to the PS4 in 2016.  Included in the package are Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD (which is a remake of the Nintendo 3DS game), Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover and Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth By Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage.

Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth By Sleep is a completely new playable episode that links to the story of KINGDOM HEARTS III, taking place after the storyline of KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep (which was a game on the Sony PSP) and is played from the perspective of Aqua.

Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover is a new movie that is connected to upcoming mobile title Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ which tells the mysterious story of the Foretellers and explains some of the history of the game.

Expect this game to arrive before Kingdom Hearts 3 is released.

Last week, there were rumours of a Kingdom Hearts 2.9 coming out, which could be this project or possibly a PS4 release of 1.5 & 2.5 which hadn’t been released on next generation consoles.
