Donald Duck #7 Comic Book Review
IDW Publishing latest Donald Duck comic book #7 is out now and features 3 stories featuring Donald Duck and friends. The first story “Truth or Consequences” is from German Lustiges Taschenbuch 327, 2004 and is new to the USA. The story features Donald and cousin Fethry as members of the Paranormal taskforce, Tamers Of Nonhuman threats, the cousins head to Denmark to track down mysterious creatures that the government doesn’t want known to the public and its up to the cousins to persuade the scientist to stop investigate them. As you might expect, it leads to plenty of laughs and a moral story of Fethry not liking how Donald Duck keeps lying. Its a fun action packed story with the cousins chasing a white horse through the city and its a good enjoyable story that young audiences will love.
The second story, “Taking the Plunge” from Donald Duck 17/2002 which is also new to the USA, features Uncle Scrooge and Gyro Gearloose, a funny story involving Gear inventing a special plunger that causes Scrooge a number of issues, a nice couple of pages with a couple of funny gags that will keep you entertained.
And finally the last story is “Flag Bragger” from Donald Duck 81, 1962, which sees Gyro Gearloose send Donald back in time to find out the truth about the Duck Flag, which revealed the story was slightly different to how it happened. Again a nice sold short story that has a couple of funny parts and with a dragon involved, its going to keep the younger audience interested.
Donald Duck #7 is a solid comic book, with 3 enjoyable stories involving Donald, Scrooge and Gyro that made me chuckle, so perfect for Disney and Donald Duck fans.
