Disney Infinity 3.0 – What’s Coming In 2016?

As we head into 2016, it is a good time to look forward to see what is coming and there are plenty of new exciting things coming out for Disney Infinity 3.0.

Officially we have details on the following releases:

Boba Fett – Originally released as part of the Star Wars Saga Bundle, Boba Fett will be released as a single character in early 2016.

Zootopia – Disney’s new animated classic hits theatre’s in March and to tie in with the movie release, Disney will release Nick & Judy Hopps as toy box characters, along with a power disc pack featuring costume changes & skydome/terrain combo.

Marvel Battlegrounds – A new playset will be released in March featuring a unique fighting system that features a new story. There will also be a new Marvel themed power disc pack the announced Captain America: The First Avenger figure, Vision and a teased Ant-Man. The black suit Spider-Man variant figure is also going to be released as a single figure outside of the PS Vita pack.

Peter Pan – At the 2015 Toy Box Summit, the winning artists picked a character to be created for the game and they picked Peter Pan. This toy box figure will be released in the summer.

Disney have also hinted that there will be more playsets to be released for 3.0 and an announced figure will be out in the first quarter of 2016.

There are also reports that a Kylo Ren Light FX figure will also be coming as well.

With Disney now adding Downloadable Content to 3.0 means the life cycle of the game has been extended beyond what we saw with previous versions and it also means it is harder to know exactly what could be coming in the future as the restraints of the physical media are gone and that could mean we will see a much more interesting 2016.
