ABC Working On Two Marvel Comedy Shows Including Damage Control
This past week, ABC President Paul Lee was speaking at the Television Critics Association with IGN and said that ABC is currently developing two new Marvel comedy series.
One show is called Damage Control and will be a half-hour, single-camera sitcom about the people who clean up the messes left by superheroes battling in their city. Paul Lee said,
“That’s the one that’s going to be coming out this season. I haven’t read it yet. I can’t wait to see it. We hope it’s going to be great.”
Damage Control has been a long running part of the Marvel comic book universe with its own series and being part of larger stories like World War Hulk. It has been referenced in many cartoon series like Avengers Assemble, video games like LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and even in the Iron Man movie where it briefly mentions that Damage Control are rebuilding the area in which the film’s climactic fight scene took place.
No details have been shared on what the second comedy series is about but this adds to a long list of Marvel themed TV shows such as Agent Carter, Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and many other series in the pipeline.
