Disney Taking On More Of It’s Own Security Personnel
There have been many new security measures brought into the Disney Theme Parks recently with new metal detectors going up, according to Channel 9, Disney is now hiring and training their own security staff to replace the private firm who are currently providing security.
It’s not a surprise to see Disney wanting to take one of the most visual aspects of security for the guests in house and Disney have already been bringing in their own staff at the Animal Kingdom. And recruiting and training additional staff does take time, so it could be a while before all the entrances are manned by Disney security and Disney haven’t confirmed how many staff they will be taking on.
“The trick is to provide enough security to make people feel safe, but not so much that they feel alarmed,” said theme park expert Dr. Rick Foglesong.
“It does not surprise me because Disney likes to bring things under control, and bringing security in-house gives them that control,” said Foglesong. “Probably, the security guards won’t wear bright yellow shirts.”
