Daredevil Showrunners Confirm New Versions of Classic Costumes

Daredevil season 2 Co-Executive Producer Doug Petrie as confirmed that we will see a new take on the classic costume for Elektra.

The question was put put to both him and Eloudie Yung, who will portray Elektra. ” There’s definitely a costume” replied Yung.

Petrie, who has replaced Drew Goddard and Steven S. DeKnight, alongside Marco Ramirez, as showrunners this year, confirmed that a lot of work had gone into making the look something familiar to fans of the character but to also fit in with the tone of the show

“I was just gunna say, ‘cause of what Drew [Goddard] and Steven [S. DeKnight] did so well on season one – and much to Marvel and Netflix’s credit – was allow them to ground the show and make it as gritty as possible, Anything like a comic book costume, to us, a fun part of the challenge is making it organically feel part of the world or the tapestry of the world that makes it seem like season one. So, will people be wearing kick ass costumes in this show? Yes. Yes, everybody does – we promise! But, that said, we wanted to make it feel as organic and grounded as possible.” Ramirez added

Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on 18th March
