Spoiler Alert: Funko’s Smuggler’s Bounty Resistance Box Review

January brings us the 2nd box from Funko’s Smuggler’s Bounty subscription box for Star Wars fans. This month’s theme is “Resistance” and believe me, it flocking delivers. Still here? Good. As per usual, Funko does a great job with box design. All of there sub boxes have great box details to the point that I seem to keep them much to the annoyance of my wife. Who could just toss BB-8 away? And also normal, when you open the box, you see a patch and pin. Personally, I love these and plan on framing each pin and patch in a shadow box.

This month’s shirt is one of my favorites so far. I love the Pop versions of the charactes using a classic Star Wars poster style.

Much was made that a component of the box would be flocked. I believe at least 27,503 people guessed that the flocked item would be a Chewbacca Pop Vinyl and they weren’t disappointed.  A nice surprise though is that a C-3P0 mug was also in the box!

One of my favorite touches in the entire box is the red handle being red. Nice touch!

Overall, not only are the components of the Smuggler’s Bounty box worth the price, they are also of great quality and the Pop should definitely increase in value for more than the box itself. Combine that with the mug, shirt, pin and patch, Smuggler’s Bounty  is a Force to be reckoned with in the sub box wars.
