Spider-Man Coming To The Big, Big Screen

Everyone’s favorite web-head, played by Tom Holland, will be once again coming to the big screen on July 2017 for his own solo adventure. Literally the big screen. IGN.com is reporting that not only will the Marvel/Sony reboot of Spider-man be released in theaters in 2017 but it will also be released on the IMAX screen as well as IMAX 3-D.

What does this mean for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man? One can only assume that Marvel and Sony will be utilizing the IMAX sized screens to showcase some amazing aerial and web slinging action scenes.

Sony Pictures Worldwide Marketing and Distribution President Josh Greenstein made the following comment about the bi screen release: “There’s so much about Spider-Man – including the web-slinging action – that lends itself perfectly to the IMAX screen. We are confident that audiences everywhere around the world will want to see it in IMAX.”

Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, also said “it will be a great way for audiences around the world to experience such a big event film”.

If you can’t wait until 2017, we will be getting our first taste of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man with the release of Captain America:Civil War on May 6th, 2016.
