New Details have come to light regarding Rogue One which before we knew would be about several characters at several points in the Star Wars timeline. We also knew that it would be more of a war film, involving the heist of the Death Star and taking place before the events of Episode 6.
WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR
- Sources confirm that there will be a new version of Stormtroopers in this film referred to as “Death Troopers.” What makes them special are that they will be in all black. Actor Donnie Yen shared a picture of Stormtrooper helmets, including an all Black one.
- One of the most important characters of the film will be a droid that works specifically with Felicity Jones’ rebel group. He was originally an Empire droid who was converted to serve the rebel alliance. Just like R2-D2 and BB-8, he is said to be quite a scene stealer. The droid has long arms and legs and is very different than a typical protocol droid like C-3PO. He’s two-legged and a dark grey or black color.
- One of the characters will be named “Cashen” although the spelling could be completely different than the one provided. However this name has been confirmed. No other character name has been confirmed as of yet.
- There will be AT-ATs in the film along with a brand new TIE fighter design.
- Darth Vader will be in the film and play a bigger part in it than expected previously. One of the most important characters in the Star Wars Franchise is confirmed to be hitting the big screen once more!
