Acme Archives Pins, Changing the Pin World

Earlier today, I had a conversation with Tanja van den Heuvel, the subscription service person for Europe.  During this conversation, we talked about the newest pin trend, the Acme Archives pins.  Heres a look at our conversation, along with a few pictures of some of the previously released pins!

Q1.  Several people have said not to buy HotArt pins because they aren’t made by Disney. What are your thoughts on this?

A1.  HotArt and Acme made these pins under licence of Disney. The Disneyland Paris design team works with Acme for their Star Wars pins too. When pins are made under Disney licence, they are authentic Disney Pins.

Q2.  2. If someone wants to go about signing up for the subscription service, who should they contact?

A2.  If you want to subscribe for these amazing pins you can contact Tanja van den Heuvel on the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/hotartacme/. She can get you on the list for Europe and USA. However, there is a waiting list at this moment.

Q3.  How does the subscription service work?

A3.  Subscription means you buy every release… No exceptions. The people who made the list had to do a buy-in of the first 10 pins.  Now that the spots are all filled you no longer have to buy-in once you make the list.

Q4.   Like regular Disney Pins, do these pins have Artist Proof and Pre Production versions?

A4.  Yes they do, I actually own the AP of “Side by Side” Lady and the Tramp.

Q5.  These pins are based off of art. Is the art by Disney artist?

A5.  The art is all made by former Disney artists.  Since the pins are made under licence of Disney, the art and their lithographs are too.

Well, that concludes my post on the lovely Acme Archives Hot Art Pins.  These pins are limited edition of 100, and unless if you are on the subscription then you might end up paying up to $800 for one of these lovely pins.  The retail cost of these pins is $125 per pin, and they come in an amazing box too!  I am a member of the subscription, and I love it.  Hope to see you on the waiting list!
