Are You Ready, Shanghai?
June 6th cannot get here soon enough, am I right? Disney has been proudly showcasing the latest plans for its newest Park. Recently, Disney has released art for Disney Town and ‘Shanghai Disney Resorts that will be completed within the year.
Disney Town will behave the same way that Downtown Disney does to the California Parks. Here you will find shops and restaurants, including an area called Spice Alley, which features waterfront dining. There will also be the Walt Disney Theater, which will showcase the Lion King musical.
Of course, with a visit to a new Disney Park, you’ll need a place to stay. Shanghai is giving Disney fans two beautiful resorts to make your stay magical. The Shanghai resorts will include their take on the classic Disneyland Hotel, dubbed Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. Within the resort will be a restaurant themed on Beauty and the Beast named Lumiere’s Kitchen and an adult themed lounge called Bacchus Lounge. There second hotel will by the Toy Story Hotel, inspired by the film series of the same name. Hawk-eyed fans will recognize some of the artwork that was on display at this last D23 Expo.
The Toy Story Hotel! Who doesn’t want to spend a day in their world?
With tickets going on sale March 28th, will you be attending the Grand Opening?
You say in your article: “Recently, Disney has released art for Disney Town and ‘Shanghai Disney Resorts that will be completed within the year.” Does that mean Disney Town and the hotels won’t be opening on Opening Day and will be completed later “within the year”? I am planning on going in October and if the hotels are not open yet I might want to move the trip back. Let me know, thanks.
Hello Jorge,
Both hotels are scheduled to open close to the July Grand Opening, so you should be okay come October 🙂 If there is any changes to the date, rest assured we will do our best to get the news out there 🙂
