Latest On The Kingdom Hearts Ultimate Unlock In Disney Infinity 3.0

As Disney Infinity fans await the release of the upcoming Zootopia figures, Nick & Judy, to unlock the Kingdom Hearts blade in Disney Infinity 3.0 as the ultimate unlock, it appears we might have to wait a little longer.  Originally it had been announced that only the figures released in 2015 would count, but it looks like details have been changing throughout the 3.0 life cycle.    Vice President of Production, John Vignocchi has recently confirmed via twitter when asked if these two figures would unlock the Key Sword, he replied “No, the launch characters for Battlegrounds are required.”

So that would mean that the new DLC characters like Captain America: First Avenger, Vision, Ant-Man and unannounced Black Panther will be required as well.  Both the Black Suit Spider-Man and Boba Fett haven’t yet been released individually, but have been previously been available in exclusive Playstation bundles.  It isn’t clear if Baloo will be required. 

 Disney originally released details of the Ultimate unlock at the D23 Expo in August 2015, saying all the 3.0 characters would be required to get the unlock, but it was unclear when this would happen due to additional figures like Peter Pan would be released.
