Star Wars Episode VIII Cast Confirmed Plus First Look Footage

Lucasfilm today have confirmed the cast list for Star Wars Episode VIII, as well as giving us our first look at footage directed by Rian Johnson

They confirmed that Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis will be returning, alongside new cast members Benicia Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran, as filming commenced at Pinewood Studios,London.

Included in the announcement was our first glimpse of filming, giving us a look at prior on location shooting on the island of Skellig Michael , that follows on from the final scene of The Force Awakens, featuring Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and Daisy Ridley as Rey, as well as an insight into Rian Johnson’s directing.
