How Civil War Is Different From The Winter Soldier
Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicks off this May with the much anticipated release of Captain America: Civil War. Civil War will discuss more on the accountability that superheroes have along with their responsibility, while delivering an action based adventure featuring the heroes we have grown to love the past few years. This film will bring most of the original cast, but some new characters as well, including: Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland); along with beginning the events leading up to The Avengers: Infinity War with a proposed release of 2018.
However, this movie will be different. In an interview provided by D23, Director Joe Russo and star Chris Evans discussed how the story will contrast Steve Roger’s last outing in Captain America: Winter Soldier.
“The turns in the movie are character-based,” said Russo (via Yahoo!).“The twists are character-based. Winter soldier was based on the twisting plot. This one twists on character.”
Ever since The Avengers, the drastic differences between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are clearly shown and this upcoming movie will present the boiling point. “We’ve seen it coming,” Feige told D23. “The clues were there. When you watch the other films you see how Captain America and Iron Man fight the bad guys together, back-to-back, but they have differences. And there is something that happens in the world that divides them.”
The plot will be driven seeing a struggling Steve Rogers “[…] who’s as optimistic and as selfless as Steve be met with letdown, betrayal, frustration, and selfishness.” said Chris Evans.
Are you guys excited on how this story will unfold?
