Freeman’s Role In Captain America: Civil War Revealed
As this year’s biggest blockbusters inch closer and closer, more and more information gets revealed that we did not know. The same goes for Captain America: Civil War. The film, boasting sixty plus characters, finally revealed who Martin Freeman, of Sherlock and Fargo fame, will be playing – and it ties him in with another of Civil War’s new characters.
Freeman will be playing Everett K. Ross, an official of the US State Department who deals in foreign relations. The official we will likely see this character correspond with? Black Panther. While the character of Everett K. Ross was not created specifically for the Black Panther comics, he was a major character and we likely see some of that backstory play out in Civil War. Ross is credited as being a Chandler Bing from Friends type character, so it will be awesome to see Freeman in a role like that.
One plot point that was revealed as well is that Everett will be involved in a story line with Agent 13 that takes place in Germany. It is believed that Steve Rogers will return to Germany, which is where the first movie in the franchise took place, and we will see this all tie together there. Regardless, Freeman will be awesome in a comedic-relief role amidst the war that will be surrounding the globe!
