Spoiler Alert: Deadpool Takes Over The Marvel Collector Corps Plus A Giveaway!
this month’s Marvel Collector Corps theme is Deadpool and as you might have guessed…there will be Deadpools in it. For full disclosure, I’ve never seen a Deadpool comic and I haven’t seen the movie yet either. But, it’s hard not to know he’s quite popular. So this review comes from someone ambivalent to the Deadpool phenomenon. This is good news for the readers because at the end of the article I will let you know you you can win this box!
As per the norm with MCC, you get a pin and a patch when you first open the box. Don’t take this as a criticism. I love the pins and patches. Like I’ve mentioned before, I’m making good use of these by displaying the entire first year of MCC pins/patches in a shadow box.
Once opening the inner box you get a look at the very sharp Deadpool shirt. This is my 2nd favorite MCC shirt after the original Avengers box. I love the design personally.
With the shirt out of the way we can start to see the ‘meat” of why Marvel Collector Corp is one of the best values in the subscription box world if you are a fan of Funko! First, here is the comic:
Now we get the Mopeez, Dorbz and Pop which are a part of this box. And personally, they made great choices.
I’m not a plush collector but if you are, you’ll love the Mopeez. Great size and style.
The 2nd most popular Funko line is Dorbz and for Deadpool fans, we get a great Cowboy Deadpool with his stick horse!
Most people base their MCC happiness on the Pop and while there are a gazillion Deadpool Pops, this is definitely a unique design not only for Deadpool but all Pops. Deadpool is “jumping/gliding” in the air with help of a clear stand. Great idea.
The key to being happy with a sub box is getting value for your buck. This box definitely exceeds the $25 price. With Pops averaging $9, Dorbz $8, Mopeez $7, and shirts $15, you are getting your money’s worth. When you add in the patch, pin, and comic, your value is even higher. SSo while not a Deadpool fan, I can appreciate that so many of you are and that Funko did a great job of choosing unique and valuable items to fill up yet another successful Marvel Collector Corps Box.
Now do you want to win this box from me? Head over to this story on our PopVinyls.com site and the details are at the bottom. The winner will be chosen on Sunday Feb 28 at 7pm Eastern.
