Sony Announce Spider-Man: Homecoming

Sony Pictures was at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where they hosted their annual panel, and during the presentation, they announced that Spider-Man’s new movie will be called Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The movie hits theatres on July 7th, 2017 and Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman said the title is “both a high school reference, and a homecoming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe” after the reveal.

Tom Holland, the actor who is playing Spider-Man, was at the event and said “Peter is trying to find his true identity.  And where he really belongs in this world.”  Sony Pictures Chairman Tom Rothman also added “I hope it takes him three movies!”.
