Why No Wasp In Captain America: Civil War?

‘Captain America: Civil War’ certainly has no shortage of heroes but there are a few notable exceptions such as Thor, Nick Fury, and the Hulk. We can now add Wasp to the list of missing Avengers.

According to Digitalspy.com, Civil War screenwriters Christopher Markus and Marcus McFeely told Collider that there was a draft where Wasp, played by Evangeline Lilly, was in the movie.

“You know, almost everybody made it in. There was a period where we talked about bringing Wasp in.” Markus says.

McFeely adds “When you see the movie, you see that Scott is his own comic relief so it would change that a little bit. They would be this pair. Everybody else we would talk about them and then they’d go away, but we got most everybody back.”

Fear not Wasp fans, we will see her again in ‘Ant-Man 2’ and in her own ‘Wasp” movie in 2018.

Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to be released on May 6th, 2016.
