What Not To Expect In Avengers: Infinity War
To everyone who was expecting to see a knocked-down, dragged-out fight between the Mad Titan Thanos and every superhero introduced in the MCU, I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but it will probably not be happening. Comments made by the Russo brothers had rumors swirling that we would see all the characters doing battle in the two part Avengers: Infinity Wars.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely break down exactly what was meant in those comments.
“Well, I mean that number is literally — that number comes from the fact that that’s everyone who’s already been introduced. If you line up all the character’s who are available to use from the prior Marvel movies, it racks up to about 60 something characters, let alone the new ones you could bring in,” says Christopher Markus, McFeely followed that up with “We had our office filled with cards of everybody who was alive and available, and the brothers came in and went, ‘Whoa.’ So that doesn’t mean that everyone is, you know, there’s not going to be 67 lead parts.”
One thing the writers are excited about, is the coming of Thanos. So far all we have seen are some brief cameo appearances and now the curtain is being pulled and Thanos will be taking center stage, and the Marvel Universe better be ready.
