Marvel Brings Back A Hero

Earlier this week Marvel through out another teaser for comic fans to soak. Was it the return of Mar-Vell? Could Richard Rider be returning to the Nova Corp? Well as it turns out, Marvel resolved the teaser this same week in Avengers: Standoff – Omega 001. Turns out Quasar himself, Wendell Vaughn has returned! However he is not back to be a hero, he has other plans for the Quantum Bands.

Vaughn has found a new soldier to carry the mantle in SHIELD Agent, Avril Kinkaid. After aiding in the defeat of Baron Zemo, Kinkaid is now being trained by Vaughn himself on how to wield the power of the quantum bands and become the new Quasar. Although it has yet to be revealed what role she will play in the future of Marvel Comics, writer, Nick Spencer did tell marvel.com to “keep a lookout for her in the Captain America books, but I suspect she’ll be showing up elsewhere as well…”
