Delilah Dirk and the Turkish Lieutenant Live-Action Move In Production
It has been reported that Disney has acquired the feature film rights to Tony Cliff’s graphic novel series “Delilah Dirk and the Turkish Lieutenant.” This book was a New Yorks Time bestseller in 2013.
Delilah Dirk is a 19th century adventurer, who plots to rob a corrupt Sultan in Constantinople evades the Sultan’s guards with the aid of her flying boat. She’s aided by her new friend, a Turkish tea-master Erdemoglu Selim, who becomes duty-bound to follow her across Turkey after she saves his life.
The live action movie is being produced by Roy Lee through his Vertigo Entertainment banner along with Mark Mower and Justin Giritlian, who secured the rights through Recursion Media. With Miri Yoon overseeing the project for Vertigo and Tendo Nagenda and Chaz Salembier are overseeing for Disney. The movie doesn’t currently have a director, writer or actors connected to the movie as it is in its early stages of development.
