Darth Vader VR Experience Announced

During the weekends Star Wars Celebration, David Goyer announced he is collaborating with ILMxLAB on a brand new story-based VR project, which is based on the iconic Star Wars character: Darth Vader.

“When we looked at all the characters, places, and worlds in the Star Wars universe available to us, we asked ourselves, ‘What haven’t we seen before? Who are we curious about?” Goyer continued, “Darth Vader is the perfect ambassador to usher us into the Star Wars VR universe.

It isn’t yet clear if this is a new movie, short, experience or a full video game, but with VR set to become more and more popular with the upcoming PlayStation VR system being released, which will include a exclusive Star Wars Battlefront space experience and other systems like the Vive getting the recent Trials On Tatoonie experience.  It does feel Disney is pushing forward on developing more VR projects.

No details have yet been announced on when is will be released but expect to find out more soon.
