Channing Tatum Set To Star In A “Splash” Remake

Disney is set to remake the 1984 classic “Splash” and will be reversing roles as Channing Tatum will be playing a “Merman”, and his 22 Jump Street co-star, Jillian Bell, will be playing the love interest.

In the original 1984 movie, Tom Hanks was rescued by Daryl Hannah as a child, and the story continues 20 years later with him having to choose between a life on the land or in the sea.

Ron Howard directed the original movie, however another director will be taking over the reigns, however Ron Howard will be returning to oversee the movie as a producer and Channing Tatum will also be producing the movie.  The movie will be written by Marja-Lewis Ryan.
