Disenchanted To Be Directed By ‘Hairspray’ Adam Shankman

Disenchanted, the sequel to the hit “Enchanted” looks to be getting underway, while a sequel has been in a works since 2010, Amy Adams is expected to return for the sequel and Adam Shankman is in talks to direct the movie.  Shank an has also worked on musicals including Hairspray and Rock of Ages.  Disney is hoping to get before cameras in summer 2017.

Sources say Disenchanted is set 10 years after the first movie, with Giselle finding herself questioning her happily-ever-after life and accidentally triggering events that make everyone’s lives turn upside down in both the real world and in the animated kingdom of Andalasia. The script was written by David Stem and David Weiss.
