Smartphone Brand Honor Announces Co-Promotion With Marvel’s Doctor Strange
Global smartphone brand, Honor, will make its big screen debut with Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange,” the result of a co-promotional agreement between Honor and Marvel Studios.
The agreement will see Honor activate a “Doctor Strange”-themed multimedia campaign and brand-tie leading up to the film’s November 4 premiere, which will extend through the fall. The exclusive appearance of an Honor device in the new blockbuster is a milestone for the young brand, recently introduced to the U.S. market.
Honor creates devices “for the brave” – people who boldly follow their own path, on their own terms. The brand lives this mantra by engaging with consumers outside the traditional smartphone space in the world of entertainment, whether music, sport, or film.
“We are thrilled to be working with Marvel,” said Zack Zhang, vice president of Honor Device USA. “Marvel’s rich universe continues to produce exciting stories that appeal to consumers’ imaginations, making it a perfect fit for our Honor brand.”
In addition to the film, consumers will see co-promotional digital and event activations as part of the deal.
“Marvel is committed to bringing world-class content to fans,” said Mindy Hamilton, SVP, Global Partnerships. “Collaborating with global brands such as Honor helps us reach consumers in fresh and innovative ways.”
Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch and follows the story of a world famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange who, in his quest for healing after a horrific car accident, discovers powerful magic in a mysterious place.
