New “Characters In Flight” Balloon Design Unveiled

This week the new look balloon for “Characters In Flight” has been unveiled at Disney Springs.

The Disney Park Blog spoke with Matthieu Gobbi, who is the General Manager for Aerophile (this is the group responsible for operating the balloon), who said “the new balloon envelope was inspired by the springs and the element of water – it’s very coherent, as the balloon floats in the air, then lands on the water of Lake Buena Vista.”

The attraction remains the same following the make over and takes guests 400 feet in the air.  The ride is priced at $20 for adults and $15 for children. . The balloon opens daily at 8:30 a.m., weather permitting, and wait times are typically shorter earlier in the day, they do a promotion of all tickets for for $10 before 10am.
