Star Wars Pinball: Rogue One Review
Rogue One is the Zen Studio’s latest Pinball table to be added to their platforms including Zen Pinball, FX and Star Wars Pinball on a variety of different systems including the PS3, PS4, PSVita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows 10, Steam and Mac plus iOS, Amazon and Android mobile devices.
This new table is a lot of fun to play, I’ve found it seems to have been designed to keep the ball in action for much longer than some tables I’ve played, which is a good bonus. There is nothing worse than playing a table that seems to constantly have the ball shoot down the side and get lost. This has led to me having some great long sessions, racking up millions of points, which made me enjoy it even more so.
Graphically, Zen have once again upped their game, delivering a awesome looking table and one that also offers some fantastic sound effects. When the ball gets blasted into the top section and its bouncing off the bumpers, it sounds epic and the voice overs are very well done to. The addition of characters like the Stormtroopers and vehicles like the Death Star and AT-AT, add more fun to the table.
The new table is a great addition to the platform, which already has lots of different tables covering many franchises including Marvel, South Park, Fallout, Doom, Family Guy and others, plus many previously released Star Wars tie-ins. With it being a year since the release of the Force Awakens Table, its great to jump back into the Star Wars universe.
Zen Pinball is perfect for picking up and having a quick blast, especially for portable devices like the Vita (and I really hope they bring the Zen Pinball platform to the Nintendo Switch, as it would be a perfect fit).
Rogue One is a solid addition to the Zen Pinball lineup and well worth checking out, its tonnes of fun and delivers some very enjoyable gameplay. If you like pinball, this is a must have, if you’ve never played it before, I’d suggest downloading the demo and giving it a whirl.
