Steve Jobs Widow Is No Longer Disney’s Largest Shareholder
Laurene Powell Jobs, the wife of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, is no longer the largest single shareholder in the Walt Disney Company. She has recently reduced her ownership stake by half, according to regulatory filings.
At the end of 2016, she owned 64.3 million shares in Disney, which was around 4% of the company, which was half the 128.3 million shares that she owned at the end of 2015. Which has now put her under the required percentage of ownership to disclose her transactions to the SEC.
Steve Jobs had those owned that many shares when Disney purchased Pixar for $7.4 billion.
