Disney Offering Support To Los Angeles 2024 Olympic Games Bid
It has been announced that Disney are working with other movie studios on the bid for the 2024 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Four of Hollywood’s biggest movie studios, Disney, Fox, NBCUniversal and Warner Bros., have thrown their acclaimed creative talents behind LA’s bid to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to help LA 2024 connect the Games to the future.
LA 2024 announced its studio supporters to highlight during the month of February its plans to harness the city’s creativity and entertainment to grow the Olympic movement by inspiring young people from around the world. February is the culmination of Hollywood’s award season, with Sunday’s 89th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Disney, Fox, NBCUniversal and Warner Bros. studios have enchanted billions of people around the world for generations at the forefront of global Hollywood storytelling. LA 2024 will harness these firms’ brightest talents and unrivaled global reach to tell Olympic and Paralympic Games stories in fresh, exciting ways and serve the Olympic Movement by helping grow the Olympic and Paralympic brand and engage a new generation of lifelong fans.
LA’s best on-screen and off-screen talent will play a central role in pre-Games communications activity, as LA 2024 harnesses iconic actors and artists, leading-edge technologies and new media best practices to build powerful engagement across the US and around the world. LA 2024 will offer partnerships between Hollywood’s greatest storytellers and the Olympic Channel, providing the IOC with an unprecedented opportunity to play a leadership role in the application of innovative technology in sports programming.
The climax of the Cultural Olympiad – the LA 2024 Arts Festival – will celebrate the historic role of Hollywood and Los Angeles in shaping the film industry, magnify the Olympic Values for a global audience, and provide a showcase for pioneering international artists.
LA 2024 will also use Hollywood’s mass entertainment expertise to create magical Opening and Closing Ceremonies that captivate the world and ensure maximum participation opportunities for all Angelenos.
