More Stars Leave Once Upon A Time
Fans of Once Upon A Time might have a lot to get used to with the seventh series as not only has Jennifer Morrison announced she was leaving, there is a few more cast members leaving.
Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White), Josh Dallas (Prince Charming), Jared Gilmore (Henry), Emilie de Ravin (Belle) and Rebecca Mader (Zelena) will also be leaving at the end of series six.
The seventh series will include a big time jump forward and focus on Lana Parrilla (Regina), Robert Carlyle (Mr. Gold) and Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook).
“Words can’t do justice to what Ginny, Josh, Emilie, Rebecca and Jared brought to Once Upon a Time … but we’ll try … Never have we had the privilege of working with a more talented group of collaborators,” creators/showrunners Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz said in a joint statement to Hollywood Reporter. “Each brought unique talent, incredible intelligence, and their own individual bit of magic as they gave life to these iconic characters. … We can’t thank them enough for the hard work, dedication and passion they delivered day in and day out. Without them there would be no Once Upon a Time. As Once continues, this group will always be the beating heart of the show. And even though we won’t be with them every week, in a show about magic and hope, we fervently believe it won’t be the last we see of them.”
“There are set endpoints to different stories,” Horowitz said recently of the supersized episode. “But that doesn’t mean there aren’t new stories for different characters. I think that by the end of the season finale, a lot of what we’ve been doing for the last six years is wrapped up — we hope in a very satisfying way — and then we move forward in a way that at the end of it, hopefully you’ll see what we’re hoping to do in season seven.”
Added Kitsis added “We feel like we’ve completed this story, and the next chapter of Once Upon a Time will be completely different. … Creatively, it’s time to end a few stories.”
