Disney Magic Kingdoms – The Lion King – Livestream Recap

Details on the latest update to Disney Magic Kingdoms has been revealed during a livestream from Gamesloft, which have confirmed the next event will feature The Lion King plus the next update will include two new areas of land opening up within Frontierland plus we will see new characters added to the game, including two from the Jungle Book.

Here are a few notes from the livestream:

• Rewards in chests are now clickable to see what’s included.
• Legendary chests will now include floats .
• Character screen gives more details on how to get pieces needed including info on what items/level are needed.
• New merlin spells including a find a chest spell
• Input flow has been improved to make clicking on items smoother.
• The Lion king event was revealed, which will run for 25 days from July 6th to 31th.

7 characters will include

• Timon
• Pumbha
• Simba
• Nala
• Zazu. Premium character – 180 Gems – Bundle available
• Scar
• Rikifi – Premium character – 275 Gems – Bundle available

Other notes include

• New concessions
• 12 buildings including Pride Rock , Tree of Life, Circle of Life and more.
• Bundle tab now shown before purchase of characters.
• Frontierland area opening up, with two new areas open
• Two new Toy Story characters announced Bullseye & Alien (which will be coming at a later date) (non- event)
• New land open will open after Mother Gothel story is completed.
• The Jungle Book coming, which will opens after Zootopia guests
