Star Wars Thrawn Sequel Novel Announced At NYCC

At the New York Comic Con, it was announced that Grand Admiral Thrawn will return in a brand new sequel novel by Timothy Zahn in July 2018.  The new novel is called “Star Wars: Thrawn Alliances” and will be featuring Darth Vader.

Thrawn was originally introduced in books in the extended universe but all of those books were removed from the official “canon” storyline when Disney purchased Lucasfilm.  But since then Thrawn has been reintroduced via the original Thrawn book and was featured in the Star Wars Rebels animated series.

Having just finished reading Thrawn while I’ve been on vacation this week, I’m excited to see where this next book goes.
