Pop! in the Parks: Orange Bird at Adventureland (WDW)

Last month, when I visited Walt Disney World, it as shortly after the Orange Bird Funko Pop! Vinyl was released. To my surprise, because of hurricane Irma (dubbed “Irmacane” throughout the parks), the Orange Bird did not sell out immediately. So, when I arrived to the Magic Kingdom shortly after arriving, I was able to pick one up at the Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, located at the exit of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Adventureland.

From there, the Orange Bird took a tour of Adventureland, the place of his inspiration and creation in 1970, being the mascot for the Florida Citrus Commission when they became the original sponsor of the Enchanted Tiki Room when the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971. Let’s check out this land of Adventure.

Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse

Treehouse recreated from the live action 1960 Walt Disney film.

Magic Carpets of Aladdin

A Dumbo-esque inspired spinner ride based off the Aladdin animated movie.

Sunshine Tree Terrace

Home of the Orange Swirl, the Orange Bird’s signature treat!

Jungle Cruise

While the Jungle Cruise attraction was closed due to damage from “Irmacane”, the Orange Bird enjoyed some time with the water spitting Tikis out front.

The Enchanted Tiki Room / Aloha Isle

Of course, when you are in Adventureland, you grab a Dole Whip and enjoying a showing of the Enchanted Tiki Room. The Tiki Gods approve.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Was a lot of fun searching for the treasure with Captain Jack Sparrow.

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom

After checking out all of the rides and attractions, and enjoying some tasty treats, the Orange Bird broke out his Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards to defeat some evil Disney Villains.

Hope you enjoyed a little tour of Walt Disney World’s Adventureland with the Orange Bird. He had a blast.
