Live-Action Star Wars TV Show Announced

During today’s Quarterly Investors Call, a new Star Wars Live-action TV series was announced to be coming to the Disney Streaming Service.

“Our advantage as a company is to take advantages that exist out there for good television and take advantage of it,” Disney CEO Bob Iger told investors.

No other details were revealed for the show, such as a name, creative team or cast.

Disney have created two animated series in the past, Rebels and Clone Wars, plus it’s been rumoured that Disney have wanted to make a series for a while. Having the series as an exclusive to their own streaming service will bring in subscribers, though the quality will obviously have to be very high to meet fans demands.
