Disney’s Live Action Pinocchio Loses Its Director
Disney’s live action remake of the classic 1940 animated movie, Pinocchio, has apparently lost its director, Sam Mendes. The project was written by Chris Weitz, who previously wrote Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Sam Mendes previously directed the recent James Bond movies Skyfall and Spectre. There are rumours that him dropping out of this project is connected to him returning to direct a new James Bond movie.
Disney have had some big success with its live action versions of their classics, like The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast and Alice In Wonderland, and they have remakes of The Lion King, Mulan and Aladdin also in the works.
