Disney Parks & Resorts Lay Off 145 Cast Members

Disney have informed 145 employees from their Parks and Resorts division, that they are to be laid off.  This is the result of some restructuring in many departments including human resources, finance, marketing and sales and operations departments.

These lost jobs are from throughout the Parks and Resorts division, so will be effecting people across 12 theme parks and 52 resorts in North America, Europe and Asia.

Disney told the Orlando Sentinel that these employees did not have primary duties that deal who with customers, so Disney said it did not expect visitors to experience any changes visiting the theme parks or hotels.  Disney added that they are Preparing for future growth and priorities.  Disney is also trying to help employees who lost their jobs to find other work internally within the company or find work outside the company.
