Marvel Cosplay Invades Toronto Comic Con 2018

Toronto Comic Con has come and gone once more, I went once again  to cover the convention for DisKingdom albeit with a new camera to give readers higher quality photos. There was a LOT of Marvel cosplays all around the convention floor from Spider Man to recent box office smash hit Black Panther. This gallery will cover some of my favourites from throughout the weekend.

Local performers JJ Lavadan and Cloud Berry were on hand as Spider Man and Spider Gwen on the last day of the convention. I had an hour long photoshoot with both of them which resulted in lots of great photos.

I also had a photoshoot with local group The Marvelous Girls of KW Cosplay who normally portrays Disney characters for birthday parties and special occasions, the shoot was a lot of fun including a certain God of Thunder photobombing us.

Aside from photo-shoots, I spotted many cosplayers throughout the convention, including St-Patrick’s Day variants considering the convention took place from March 16 to 18. Some of my favourites were a Leprechaun Spider Man to Deadpool.

While Spider Man continues to be the most popular character to cosplay, it is nice to see other Marvel characters shine through, although I did not see any Gwenpool’s this year compared to last year. The weather was still chilly so not many cosplayers were out and about compared to Fan Expo.  I cannot wait to return to Fan Expo in September to cover even more cosplayers.
