Review: Black Panther Pin Mates
For today’s review, I take a look at the Black Panther Pin Mates Collection from Bif Bang Pow!, part of our friends over at Entertainment Earth. Pin Mates are little hand-painted wooden collectibles, similar in style to the old-school Fisher Price Little People figures.
This collection features five releases, each in their own clamshell packaging: Black Panther (71), Erik Killmonger (72), Nakia (73), Okoye (74) and Klaw (75). Each figure is numbered in the Pin Mates Collection, and includes the number on the bottom of the figure. The clamshell packaging opens easily so you can remove the Pin Mates without destroying the plastic.
Here is a closer look at the figures.

Overall, I find the Pin Mates collection a fun one, though I don’t see myself collecting every line. Additionally, I do find some of the paint applications off centered at times. An example here is Black Panther, whose head looks to have been glued on crooked, and the paint apps didn’t compensate for that. Still, a fun collection, especially if you have younger kids into the movie and the characters (though the packaging contains a 14+ Rating).
