Disney Submits Antitrust Concessions To Europeans Union For Fox Purchase
Disney have offered antitrust concessions to the European Union to make sure the 21st Century Fox buyout gets approval. While the US Department has already given approval, there was some conditions including selling local sports channels. The loss of Sky to Comcast might make it a much easier process for Disney to get approval.
The EU have pushed the deadline back to November 11th, after Disney submitted their proposal on Friday October 12th. Though these concessions haven’t been disclosed.
Originally the decision was going to be made by October 19th, but the European Commission want more time to research by speaking with customers and competitors.
