Commemorative Merchandise Logos Unveiled Ahead of Final Atlanta Braves Spring Training Season at Disney
Disney has unveiled a series of commemorative merchandise logos for the 22nd and final season of Atlanta Braves spring training at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.
The three colorful merchandise logos will be affixed to select Braves spring training items, such as T-shirts, hats, bats, balls and various Braves merchandise. The unique items will be available at Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex throughout Atlanta’s spring training season, starting Feb. 25.
The Braves were one of the surprise teams in Major League Baseball this season, capturing the National League Eastern division title before eventually being eliminated in the post-season by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
When the club gets back to work at Disney in February for its final spring training season at Disney, it will play 16 home games against 10 different teams. Marquee home match-ups include three games against the Detroit Tigers and two games each against the Houston Astros, New York Mets, Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins. The New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays will make one visit each to Champion Stadium.
Atlanta is scheduled to play a trio of night games at the sports complex, against the Phillies (March 8), Yankees (March 18) and Tigers (March 22). Those games start at 6:05 p.m.
The Braves will play their last game at Champion Stadium on March 23 at 1:05 p.m., against the Mets, before moving to their new facility in North Port, Fla., (Sarasota County).
Disney character appearances and special interactive moments, such as kids running the bases are some of the in-game entertainment opportunities that make Braves spring training at Disney a grand slam.
Individual tickets for Braves spring training games at Disney range from $15.00 (general admission lawn seats) to $60.00 (lower-level reserved seats) and will go on sale November 19.
Tickets are available through the Atlanta Braves’ website (braves.com/springtraining), ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex box office and through Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000).
