Star Wars Ultimate Co-Pilot Chewie Review
One of the top gifts for Christmas was Hasbro’s interactive toys, Star Wars Ultimate Co-Pilot Chewie. This interactive plush Chewie figure is a great toy for kids to play with, since he reacts whenever he’s in motion and responds in the Wookie language when he’s spoken to.
According to the box, it features over 100 different sound-and-motion combinations, though it was a little hard to tell the difference between some of them. But that feels very much like the real Chewie, since most of his vocal sounds are pretty similar, especially since this Chewie toy includes many different fun facial expressions and arm-raising roar.
Chewie is such a cute plush, the big eyes and how the facial expressions make this toy come alive. Especially how Chewie seems to have a mustache and an adorable nose and mouth.
I also love how this plush has a utility belt across the body, which adds extra detail but also breaks up the fur.

This plush originally sold at launch for $129, which I feel was a little expensive for this toy. There are interactive elements to Chewie, but compared to other interactive toys like the Sphero B-B8, it doesn’t seem to offer the same value.
However, there are plenty of sales available after Christmas, which is when I would recommend checking out this plush. I love this Chewie plush, it’s been sat on the shelf in the bedroom since I got it, but its been turned off and that sort of defeats the point of having an interactive toy. And that’s my worry for kids getting this toy, I just don’t think its going to keep their attention in a world full of apps and video games, it looks cool but the interactive elements aren’t strong enough to warrant a full price purchase, but if you see one on sale and you love the look of this cute plush, I’d say go for it. It’s easily the best looking Chewbacca plush I’ve ever seen.
