Marvel Avengers Video Game Details Announced At E3
During Square Enix’s E3 Conference, new details were revealed on their Avengers video game. Players get to play as Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Black Widow. It’s a brand new story and isn’t connected to the MCU. The story sees the Avengers outcast following an attack on the city during “Avengers Day” and also sees some cameos from other characters such as Ant-Man and others.
The game is primarily a single player campaign but there is a online element, which allows up to four players. The online mode will have an “ever-expanding universe” with a customizable, growing roster of heroes. To reduce fears over micro transactions, Square Enix confirmed that every new hero added will be free, and there will be no loot boxes.
It’s being created by Crystal Dynamics, the team behind the most recent Tomb Raider movie and will be released on May 15th 2020 on a variety of different platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Xbox One. There will be a early beta access and there will be other “unique benefits” for PlayStation owners who pre-Order.
