Pop! Review: Galaxy’s Edge’s DJ R3X

For today’s review, I take a look at one of the Funko Pop! Vinyls released to celebrate the opening of Disney Parks’ newest land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Featuring a fan favorite character from the history of Star Wars in Disney Parks, here is DJ R3X.

 

When Star Tours first opened in the parks, tours were given by a new addition to the pilot team, R3X. Sadly, when the ride was refurbished, R3X made way for C-3PO, and found himself in retirement. However, he could still be seen in the queue of the ride. I always found myself taking pictures of R3X when I walked by him all of those years, secretly hoping that he would come back to the parks in some aspect.

Thankfully, when details were announced for the new eatery at Galaxy’s Edge, Oga’s Cantina, it was revealed that R3X would now be spinning tunes as a DJ while guests enjoyed local food and beverage options. I was thrilled with the news, and I look forward to seeing him in person next time I am down in Walt Disney World.
